Here is a place to find photos taken of Guided Math in progress.
Teacher works in small group as the students learn about 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. Teacher made a game where students roll 4 dice. Kids are in 2 teams. The teams need to figure out the highest and lowest product. YES, they are writing on the tables with dry erase markers. Dry erase board is there too. Teacher models then allows students to practice with each other. She redirects if students are doing it wrong.

Look at this 4th grade class hitting some higher order thinking skills as they have a Performance Based project of selecting items from a catalog to create a school store. They can only use a certain amount of money to buy items, then they need to turn around and sell those items at the school store. STANDARD: Multiplication of 2 digit numbers.
Laptops and desktops are great options for centers around the room. It is often an issue to take all 25 laptops at one time because other classes can't use them also. But to take 5 laptops is not as big of a deal. Find games that go along with the curriculum and concepts being taught that week.
A Problem Solving Center is a great option as it gives students a chance to focus on higher order thinking skills to complete word problems. This can be done in their Math Journals or another place. Check out Exemplars, Problem of the Day sheets, the Teacher's Guide or make up the problems. They are out there! Teach students to check each others work and be accountable for their answers as they need to explain how they got the answers they jotted down before you give them a chance to see the answers. As seen in this 2nd grade classroom picture, the problems were written to inculde the students names, favorite restaurants and more to be meaningful for the students as they did the work. Dry Erase Boards are a great option with the answer from the questions taped on the back of the board.
Students in this 1st grade classroom around doing Mountain Math as a way to review their basic math facts.
Take a look at this 3rd grade classroom as they set up their Guided Math in a way where students know which stations they will do throughout the week. The group names on the left and the stations A-E are written with a dry erase marker so they can switch each week. Students are held accountable as they know what stations they need to do on each day.
