Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season and the mild temperatures. We have lots going on over the next two weeks. Please keep an eye out for important papers that will be coming home. Here are some important dates:
12/14: O'Charley's Night from 4-10. A portion of the proceeds will go to Mtn. View so take a break from cooking and support our school at the same time.
12/14 and 12/16: AM walking. Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and has their tennis shoes.
12/15: Spelling bee: study the words that were sent home. The official spelling bee will be held in January.
12/19-12/22: Sharing Through the Seasons projects are due. Be sure to send in the book, the completed questions and a memento.
12/21: Class Holiday Celebration: I know you've all recieved the information from Mrs. D'Aurelio and I hope to see you there. It sounds like lots of fun!
Instructional news: There will not be a spelling packet next week. We will continue to study sound and light in science, colonization in social studies, review all math concepts and read, read, read!
Other news: Please be certain that your child is taking complete advantage of IXL and Myskillstutor. These are great ways for them to review and practice previously taught lessons. Once we return from the winter break it will become part of their nightly homework. I will also be offering an "incentive" if they use IXL over the break.
Thank you for helping make this such an awesome year for your child and our class as a whole. Enjoy your holiday and some time with your family.
