We all survived CRCT week! Thanks so much for sending them in well rested, well fed and prepared to do their best.
We still have lots of curriculum to cover seeing as there is six weeks of school left. Many students have made comments about school being over but we've been quick to correct them and let them know that we will continue with our class schedule as usual. We will continue to have nightly homework, work in all subject areas and have weekly tests.
With the warm weather upon us many students are wearing clothing that will help them stay cool. Please refer to the handbook about appropriate and inappropriate clothing for school. Shorts need to be a certain length and tank tops need to be a certain width across the shoulder. Also, send in a water bottle each day so they are able to stay hydrated and keep cool.
Our field trip to the Georgia Aquarium is this Friday, April 22nd. Please be sure to send them with their sack lunch if they did not order one from school. There are NO straws allowed so do NOT send juice boxes. Disposable water bottles are your best bet. Also, cameras are NOT allowed so please do not send one. There are NO electronic devices allowed as well. In order to participate in all of the activities planned they MUST WEAR TENNIS SHOES! NO FLIP-FLOPS!!! They will be able to purchase a souvenir at the gift shop as we leave. They will be in charge of their money at all times. We are really looking forward to this trip!
Starting Tuesday, April 26th we'll be having daily play practice. It is very important that your child study their parts at home as well. If your child was chosen to have a part you will also need to supply them with a costume for the actual play. Most parents use clothing around the house to make a costume but some have rented them as well. More information will be forwarded to you soon.
Thanks so much for all you do to make each day successful. Have a great week!
