Welcome back from spring break everyone! I hope you'rewell rested and ready to buckle down for CRCT's and the remainder of the school year. I have a feeling it is going to fly by. Here are the happenings for the month of April:
* CRCT: Tuesday, April 12th-Monday, April 18th. Make-up dates are April 19th- April 22nd.
*4/12: Reading
*4/13: ELA
*4/14: Math
* 4/15 Science
* 4/18: Social Studies
Please remember that no visitors are allowed in the building during testing and be certain that your child is here on time each day. It is important that they come well-rested and with a nutritious breakfast in their bellies. Also, please send in a nutritious snack each day. Due to allergies we are not providing snacks for students. They should also bring in a water bottle. Please do NOT send in mints or gums. There will be no homework during the testing period. After testing is done we will resume our regular schedule and homework will be given throughout the remainder of the school year. We still have much to cover in order for your child to be prepared for fifth grade and we appreciate all that you do to make them successful students.
Our Georgia Aquarium field trip is Friday, April 22nd. Please remember to send your child with a sack lunch if they did not purchase one from the cafeteria. Also, we'll be doing lots of walking so I would suggest tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. Since the trip is relatively short we will not be allowing any electronic devices on the bus. All they need to bring is their lunch (unless buying a school sack lunch) and themselves. I am really looking forward to this trip!
Be on the look out for study guides as we'll be having some tests shortly after testing is over and throughout the remainder of the month.
