These are the things we will be learning about this month.
Reading/Language Arts-We will be focusing on using dictionaries to find information and definitions for words. We will also talk about multiple meanings of words and using guide words to help find words inside a dictionary. We will be reviewing parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns), and learn about r controlled vowels (bossy r).
Writing-We will be writing realistic narratives. We will focus on sequencing events and adding details to tell a story.
Math-We will continue to work on telling time and practice elapsed time. We will also review graphing and begin a unit on measurement using non-standard and standard units of length.
Science-We will begin a unit on animals. We will focus on animal types and the needs of animals.
Social Studies- We will study the life and contributions of Theodore Roosevelt.
