Happy New Year!! I can hardly believe it is January, but I am looking forward to starting the second half of the year! I hope you all had a wonderful break and were able to enjoy time with friends and family!
Reading/Language Arts- inferencing, using prior knowledge and context clues to determine the meaning of text, fact and opinion, homophones and homonyms, long vowels and vowel digraphs ("when two vowels go walking the first one does the talking")
Writing- Informational writing, we will begin to focus on writing paragraphs and write about different topics of interest as well as create how to books.
Math- Review of place value, fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4), and symmetry
