It's so refreshing to begin a new year, and everyone is off to a great start in our classroom. We had a very exciting Thursday. It was my birthday AND the students won the IXL Holiday Challenge! They will be having a special dessert and lunch in the classroom with me. The date has not been set at this point in time.
We are working on fractions right now . So cooking and following recipes are great ways to help your child learn and use fractions. Just think of the fun you can have together.
Before the holiday break, we learned a few letters in cursive, and the students loved it. Since practice makes perfect, let your child read your cursive writing and have them practice at home. I have paper; they just need to ask me for some.
Remember to read your child's agenda every night. That way you will always be informed of homework, upcoming tests, and special assignments.
