Fall Conferences
October is here and with the beginning of fall comes our fall conferences. You will receive your fall conference letter today. I have tried to accommodate all of the requests for conferences, so please let me know if the time is not good. I will try my best to make changes. The end of this 9 week grading period is Friday, October 8th. Report cards will be distributed at conference time.
MATH - We will continue to work on two and three digit multiplication. We will also be studying geometry this nine week.
READING - We will continue our novel study of Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare. The book is a great integration with Social Studies and Native Americans. The second nine weeks we will also be studying the of exploration of the new world. Look for a project to come home during this time!
SOCIAL STUDIES - Exploration of the New World. We will begin this unit with an outdoor scavenger hunt!!
SCIENCE - This 9 weeks - Sound, Light, Force and Motion, and Simple Machines
HEALTH- Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs

I hope everyone enjoys the cooler weather and everything that fall brings! I cannot believe how fast this year is going :) Before we know it the holidays will be here! I am looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks at conference time!!
