December is here, bringing with it an icy blast of winter. Please make sure that your child is dressed warmly enough for outside recess. Here is the county's policy on outside activities:
When the outside temperature or wind chill factor is 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below:
a. Physical Education classes should remain indoors.
b. Classroom teachers may take students outside for a break of not more than 15 minutes and students must wear appropriate clothing.

We have a busy 2 weeks before we break for the holidays. All grade levels will be assessed with checkpoint testing. These tests will let us know what we have learned so far and what we still need to learn this school year.
Important dates:
Dec 6 - AR Party
Dec 8 - 5th grade Performing Arts Field Trip to the symphony at the Marietta Energy Center.
Dec 17 - School-wide Sing-A-Long (students only)
Dec 17 - Holiday Party. 10:30 - 12:00. We will be making gingerbread houses, playing games, and having some refreshments. All parents are welcome to attend.
Dec 20 - Jan 3 Winter Beak (Students return on January 4)
