We perform the Sit and reach, Pacer, Trunk lift, Curl-ups and Push-up tests. Scores will be mailed out with report cards at the end of the year! Fitnessgram and Family Fit Night!

Students in all grades except Kindergarten have started their post-test for Fitnessgram.  We look forward to seeing tremendous improvement in all of our students!  Our goal is to complete testing by Spring Break.

You can learn more about Fitnessgram at Family Fit Night this Friday, 3/25 from 6:30-8:30PM.  Mrs. Janas and Coach Devore will do a session about the test and there will be many other presenters and exhibitors!  You can also purchase your section of our new gym floor for $10/square.  We hope to see you Friday night!

New Health and PE materials for review.....

Public Review of K-12 Instructional Materials
The Cobb County School District will present K-12 instructional material for public review from March 7th through March 18th, 2011. Material will include K-12 Health and Physical Education, K-12 Fine Arts, K-5 Social Studies, 6th and 7th grade Social Studies, High School Mathematics of Finance, and K-12 Maps and Globes. The material will be on display at CCSD Central Administrative building, 514 Glover Street in Marietta open daily, M-F, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You guys and gals have outdone yourselves! You have made and PASSED our goal of $20,000.00!!!! You have successfully achieved our marks and guess what? WE ARE GOING TO SLEEP ON THE ROOF!!!!

I know you are wondering when it will happen, and it will ~ just as soon as it gets over 40 degrees and we don't have to worry about FROSTBITE!!!!! ha ha hee hee! We promise we will let you know when it happens!

We are starting our BOWLING unit in PE and working on stepping with the opposite foot to toss or roll the ball at a low level. We will be playing Bowling Bingo complete with the BINGO BOOGIE if we make a strike! We'll integrate math skills during this unit as well!

We hope you enjoyed the winter break and took this time to regroup and relax as a family as we gear up for our CRCT testing, our FitnessGram testing, and finish out our school year with the best we have! Thank you again dear families that supported Mrs. Janas and Coach Devore in our American Heart Community Service project. We really appreciate all you do for us!
