Spring Time

Welcome to spring time!  Everyone is in such a good mood and the weather is nice and relaxing.  We have gotten 60 lunchroom leader awards so we are going to have a picnic with our lunches, an ice cream sundae party and a class game.  We are going to plan this day after the CRCT.  I will send home information when it gets closer and parents are very much welcome to join us!

In science we are studying animals.  Each student is going to do a project with an animal that he/she has chosen.  I will send home the guidlines for the project around CRCT time.  The zoo trip is coming up!  This is our last field trip and I there are no limits on the number of parent volunteers!  The more, the merrier!

With Spring Break coming, if there is anyone that is staying in town and would like to hamstersit our dear Pip, please let me know.  Also, with the new baby on the way, I am looking for a sweet loving home for Pipsqueak.  He is a year old and just a sweetie.  My daughter us not old enough to appreciate him.  Please let me know if you would like to adopt him.  He comes with a cage and rolling ball.

Fantastic February

Welcome to February!!  We have been working hard in our 3rd nine weeks!  We are publishing a class book.  We will be sending off order forms soon.  The books are bound in hard back and are such wonderful keepsakes.  More information will come with the order form.  Please note that once the order has been sent off to the publisher I can not order any extras.

I will be sending home a notice about making Valentines boxes at home.  If you would like to get started, a shoebox is perfect!  Just decorate in the spirit of Valentines day and send in by the 14th.  Be as creative as possible and just make sure that your name is in a place that everyone can read!  We will be doing Valentines activites on the 14th and passing out Valentines to the whole class.  Please make sure that if you send in cards and/or treats that we have enough for everyone in the class.  A class list will also come home with the Valentines Box reminders.
