Happy New Year and Welcome Back to everyone!!!!  I missed the children and am anxious to begin the last half of the year.  Each month the children are getting closer and closer to acting and thinking like first graders.

As of today our school "Foundation" is up and running. The money that was donated is being used for technology. For the next 9 weeks, Kindergarten through second grade will be able to visit the computer lab once a week. This will allow for more structured, formal lessons on a consistant basis. The children will be introduced to key boarding and word processing. We are very lucky and excited aout this. The tech person is Mrs. Newhouse, a certified teacher.

They may write a story and bring it in and share it with the class and/or make a little book by stapling a few pages together, draw pictures and write about what they drew.
