Fantastic February

I would like to thank Mrs. Tammi Ryley for teaching the Junior Achievement classes to the students on Friday afternoons.

We are so lucky to have a Kennesaw University toss student coming to our classroom to learn and assist in the classroom. Her name is Mrs. Montgomery.. She has been a pre-school teacher before becoming a student. Please help welcome her to our classroom. During the month of February she will be with the class one day a week,beginning in March she will be with our class everyday until May. During the month of February we have the following important dates to remember:

February 2,2011 Early Release cancelled Today is a full day of School

February 3,2011 Our students will participate in the Germ Quest in -school presentation

Jumping January

What a wonderful wintery January we have had. As we head into February we are finishing up our animal habitat and adaptation units. We are delving into fractions and decimals. We will be learning how to write an informational piece of writing,including a report on a specific insect. We are learning about action verbs,helping, and linking verbs.This week we will continue to learn about verb tenses. You may have noticed that I am sending all the weekly homework assignments on Monday .I hope that this will help with time management.
