Spring is Here!!

April has arrived and Spring Break is just around the corner. We still need to focus on the curriculum and preparing for the upcoming CRCT. Please continue reading daily.  Thank you so much to all who attended International Night and the Silent Auction. The Spring Break is from April 7-11. Enjoy your friends and families and have a restful time!

Greetings!

Multicultural Arts week will be held March 24-28.  During the week, the children will attend multicultural performances, and be involved in creative crafts that reflect diversity.

Please plan to attend the International Evening Festival on Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 pm. Along with tasting many marvelous foods from our Mt. View community cooks, there will be professional performances and a student costume parade. Also, taking place that evening is the School Council Silent Auction. You are encouraged to bid on a wide variety of classroom baskets and teacher-led activities.

You will soon be receiving the Sharing Our Traditions homework from your child’s homeroom teacher. The children are to create a picture and/or a brief essay showing a family tradition.

February is here! 

We are enjoying reading our book of the month and writing in our journals.  We have early release day on Wednesday, February 6th and student holidays February 18th and 19th.  Picture day is February 7th so dress up and smile!  Don't forget Valentine's Day on February 14th - you are welcome to send in Valentines for each student in the classroom if you would like.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the second semester of school.  We are looking forward to learning new things and a few students will be preparing for middle school this semester.  We will continue to have fun in the morning with our Game Guys - playing games with other students before announcements - so come early!  We will have one holiday this month on January 21st, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We have early release January 22 - 25th for conferences.  I am looking forward to a great second semester.

Winter is Here! Or it is supposed to be!

Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's Class! 

We are looking forward to the Winter Holidays despite the warm weather!  Maybe we will get to ride bikes and play outside over the break!  As we progress towards the holidays, we continue working hard on our classwork and new topics.   The Winter Party will be held December 20th at 12:30pm so look for a note coming home.  Look for important information in your child's Red Folder and daily information in the Green Folder.

Fall Is Here!

Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's Class! 

We are enjoying the wonderful fall weather and the changing leaves this season.  As we progress towards the holidays, we continue working hard on our classwork and new topics.   The Thanksgiving Lunches will be held November 13 - 15 so look for a note coming home.  If you would like to join your child for the lunch, you may go together to the lunchroom.  Look for important information in your child's Red Folder and daily information in the Green Folder.
