Thank you so much for the wonderful birthday surprise!  The flowers were beautiful, the Paradise Grill giftcard was over the top, and the cupcakes were delicious!. I really enjoyed the classroom down time we shared while enjoying our cupcakes!  That was very thoughtful of you!

SEND IN THOSE PICTURES!

The Fifth Grade Activities Committee will be putting together a video photo album of the 5th graders to be shown at the end of year celebration. Please send in at least two (2) photos of your child. These can be from any age/grade at Mountain View. Also, please continue to take pictures at events because the more photos the better! We would like all pictures from 4th grade and earlier to be sent in by Feb. 24th. ALL pictures must be received by March 30th. We will have several people taking pictures of later events.

 

The photos can be submitted via email(preferred), cd, or hard copy. Please submit via email to : mtnviewpics5@yahoo.com. They must be in jpeg format. If you scan your pictures, simply request that they be formatted this way. OR- You may send in a hard copy with your child in an envelope addressed "5th Grade Activities Committee Photos". Please label photo with child's name and teacher. Remember these pictures will NOT be returned so send in a copy!! Any questions? Contact Alesa Bouton or Karen Marques. Fresh Fruit Fridays

Packing a snack for school...Fridays, all students are encouraged to pack fresh fruit for their daily snack. Please help your children practice good food choices and healthy eating habits. Let's encourage all our kids to make smart snack choices.

Please remember to dress for the weather!

 

IXL and Skills Tutor

Congratulations to our classroom for solving 2000 problems on IXL!

Every Monday, IXL emails a report to me with each students' time spent and problems attempted for the previous week.  Please encourage your child to practice the math concepts we are working on that week along with any other concepts they feel they are weak in.  It's a known fact that "Practiced Makes Perfect!"

Also, don't forget to practice on Skills Tutor!  These are wonderful resources for our students to get ready for the CRCT's!

CRCT Practice Online

This past week, your child received a letter from Dr. Garriss regarding the Online Assessment System (OAS), and a Parent Quick Start Guide with your child's login information.

Student Tests are currently available.  Teacher Assigned Test will be available after the holidays.  Students will recieve a schedule of Teacher Assigned Tests with due dates.
