Hello Parents!
We are coming up on the end of the second nine weeks, only three weeks left! Here is a preview of what we will be studying in December!
Math - Graphing - pictographs, bar graphs, and venn diagrams; Geometry - plane shapes, attributes, and what happens when you put together and take apart shapes. *Continue practicing subtraction with regrouping and making change with bills and coins!
IXL and Skills Tutor are great resources to use at home to practice! We are working on mastering our subtraction facts on Skills Tutor, and working on earning medals in IXL! Ask your child how many medals they have earned!
On IXL our class has completed over 2,000 problems! We want to be the top class in the grade level, so keep working hard on those problems at home!
Language Arts - Dictionary Skills, Quotation Marks, Pronouns, Context Clues, and writing a response to literature
Social Studies - We are done with our unit for this nine weeks!
Science - we will be spending the next three weeks studying Energy and Motion!
