October has arrived and students are working hard to achieve their goals in math and reading. The majority of students have accomplished our math goal of mastering multiplication facts with 90% accuracy and I am confident that our class will reach the goal by the end of the 9 weeks. I am pleased to see that the students are enjoying participating in our book club and reading nightly, completing reading journals, and creating bookmarks weekly. Way to go! I am proud of you! Fall conferences will be held the week of October 24-28. I am looking forward to meeting with you. I will be sharing report cards, reading and math assessments, as well as writing portfolios.
