            This week, we are learning about:  E is for elephant, Animal Groups, Giraffes, Zoo, Concepts of Print-front & back cover, author, illustrator, identifying letters, words, sentences, spaces between words, Color Words, Letters & Sounds, Position Words, AB Pattern, Days of Week, Months of Year, Simple Graphs        Cooking: We will read Horton Hatches An Egg and make deviled eggs!

Mon.		Today your child is bringing home My Ee Book.  Please have your child look for Ee’s as well as these sight words: I, have, one, two,look, at and identify the period at the end of each sentence.
Tues. PE-wear tennis shoes		Parents—there are several math activities that you may work on at home from the math newsletter.

Dear Families,

This week, we are learning about:  Kindergarten—expectations of a student/rules,  Z is for zebra and zoo, animals-introduction to animal groups, sorting, patterns-AB, numbers, letters, introduction to journal writing.

Please Initial	Behavior	Homework
Mon.		1.Your child’s number in line is ______. Please ask them this several times nightly. You would not believe how this will help us when we line up for lunch each day!
Tues. PE-wear tennis shoes		2. On Wednesday, your child will bring home My Zz Book . Please practice reading the book with them. If your child is already reading sight words, practice fluency and ask them to add a describing word  to each sentence.
Wed.		Technology: Please visit my blog, www.cobbk12.org,  , go to Mountain View, Teachers, Kindergarten, Farah.   I try to post our homework sheet on the blog each week as well as a few other items.

Important Dates—each day our class will have a color of the day. Please have your child wear the color if possible. The colors for the next 11 days are listed on the blog but this should get you started!
