Fun Run Information

Dear Families,

We are very excited about the Boosterthon Fun Run on Wednesday, May 6. Our class will participate in the run from 9:45-11 that day. Please be sure that your child eats a  healthy  breakfast that morning and send a nutritious snack.  We will not have lunch until 11:42 that day.

Our class has chosen "Farah's Fairies" as our team name. We are MAGICAL!!!!!!!!!

Spring is here!!!!!!

April 21-27 CRCT Testing for Grades 1-5, during this time no parents are allowed to be in the school for volunteering in the mornings or visiting at lunch.

Another Fantastic Month!!!!!!!!!

Feb. 9th- Field trip to Young Chef's! Please don't forget to have your child wear their white class shirts!

Feb. 13th- Send in your Valentine's cards and Secret Valentine's bags.

Feb. 16th- Student Holiday

Feb. 18th- We will have a visit from a local dentist as we learn about dental health.

Feb. 20th-Teacher Spelling Bee and Spaghetti Supper--- Come out and cheer for me as I battle against other teachers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan. 23rd- Fire Safety

Jan. 26th- 30th- Conference Week- Early dismissal all week. If you have not done so, please return your conference form. 

We will be learning all about winter, MLK, living and non-living, money, numbers to 100, and writing narrative stories! We will continue working on letter sounds, sounding out words, and writing super sentences.

Most of our students are working on at least page 2 of the sight word lists!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are working on reading fluency as well. Here is a great site to help your child practice fluency:

Also, please continue to  practice your address - number, street, city, county, state, country,   continent, and planet

We are having a lot of students forgetting their snacks each day. We provide snacks on Friday but please be sure to pack a snack that your child will eat on the other days.

November 11 Kindergarten Thanksgiving Lunch.  Please join us!

We had a great time with the Fall Centers put together by our wonderful room moms.  Thanks to ALL the moms that helped make it such a success.  The children loved it!

Please continue to help your child memorize the sight word lists.  Make sure that you do not  ask him/her to read them in order.  Mix them up! 

Our journal writing is improving everyday.  We are focusing on spacing, punctuation, and capitalization.  Please reinforce writing at home.
