Hi Parents!!! Who can believe that it is February already!? Our class is doing amazing! We are so proud of them and how hard they work each day! We will be very busy this month! We will be learning all about short and long vowel sounds, Digraphs: ch, sh, th, wh, writing correct and detailed sentences with the correct punctuation, characters, setting, and sequencing events in a story, counting by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100, telling time, calendar days and months, ordinal numbers, counting and making fair trades using pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters, measurement, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, Barack Obama, and Presidents' Day.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the following February events:
3rd: Wear red to support healthy hearts
8th: Jump Rope for Heart during PE class. Please have your child wear tennis shoes! Thanks for supporting Jump Rope for Heart!
10 th: Patriotic Symbols Projects Due!
13th: WellStar In-school field trip-Just Eat It!
14th: Please be sure to send in your child’s Valentine boxes and special cards!!!
20th: Presidents' Day-No school!
