We have lots of fun things planned for May!!! We will be busy and it is going to go fast! Mark your calendars for:

May 6th- Fun Run! Hope to see you there!

May 8th- Kindergarten Graduation and performance at 8:30 in the lunchroom!

May 13th- Field Day!

May 21st- End of year celebration!

May 22nd- Last day of school!

This has been such a wonderful year! Thank you so much to all my parents for always being so supportive! We will miss you! Have a safe and fun summer!

We are very excited about the Boosterthon Fun Run on Wednesday, May 6. Our class will participate in the run from 9:45-11 that day. Please be sure that your child eats a  healthy  breakfast that morning and send a nutritious snack.  We will not have lunch until 11:42 that day.

Our class has chosen "Cox's Foxes" as our team name.  Go Cox's Foxes!

Spring has Sprung!!!

April has arrived! We will be very busy this month  learning all about addition, animals, subtraction, and plants. A few fun events coming up are:

April 6-10th- Spring Break!

April 28th- Fun Run Pep Rally...more details to  come!

We will be very busy this month! Some important dates to remember are:

March 2nd- Dr. Seuss' birthday- Please have your child wear their pj's and bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book!

March 3rd- Early Release

March 24th- Wildlife wonders- Our in-house field trip

Hi Parents,

Please be sure to make our Thinking Maps Training on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00. The training will provide lots of information about why we use them, what they are, and when our students use them.

We are zooming right along! During February, we will be learning all about time, money, President's day, patriotic symbols, weather, dental health, and we will be starting Reader's Theater! Lots of important dates to remember:

Feb. 4th- Early Release

Feb. 5th- Picture Day!

Feb. 11th- Field trip to Young Chef's! Please don't forget to have your child wear their green class shirts!

Feb. 13th- Send in your special Valentine's and "Mailboxes!" More details to come!

Feb. 16th- Student Holiday

Feb. 18th- Dentist coming to visit Kindergarten

Feb. 20th- Spaghetti Dinner and Spelling Bee! Please come and cheer me on!

We have lots to look forward to in January! Our class will be starting book in a bag and a writing center! They are really doing great with reading and writing! Here are some fun events for this month:

Jan. 6th- Welcome back!

Jan. 19th- No school!

Jan. 20th- In- house field trip- Fabulous Forces!

Jan. 22nd- 100th Day of School!

Jan. 23rd- Fire Safety

Jan. 26th- 30th- Conference Week- Early dismissal all week

We will be learning all about winter, time, weather, MLK, living and non-living, money, measurement, numbers to 50, and writing narrative stories!

This month has come really fast and we are going to be really busy! :) We have lots of fun activities planned for this month:

Dec. 3rd- Rock and Roll- our in-house field trip

Dec. 17th- Holidays Around the World

Dec. 18th- Our Class Cecelebration!

Dec. 19th- Sing-a-long for all grade levels!

This month, we will be learning all about rocks and soil, Holidays Around the World, informational writing, patriotic symbols, numbers to 30, maps and globes, and measurement.

Parent Survey for Standards-Based Report Cards

encourages parents to participate in the online fall survey for the new standards-based report cards.  As part of the ongoing development process, a survey link has been posted to the Cobb District website to gather input on the recently distributed K, 1, and 2 report cards.  Please visit www.cobbk12.org to respond.  The survey will be open until Dec. 1, 2008.

Hi everybody!

Can you believe that it's November already?! Here are a few important dates to remember:

November 4  Student Holiday, Teacher Workday

November 11 Kindergarten Thanksgiving Lunch.  Please join us!

Nov ember 17th- Barney the Bus! (bus safety)

November 19th- Our class Thanksgiving Feast! More details to come!

November 24th-28th- Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great time with the Fall Centers put together by our wonderful room moms.  Thanks to ALL the moms that helped make it such a fun day! 

Please continue to help your child practice their sight word lists. Also, please remember when they are practicing writing at home to have them use finger spaces, capitals, punctuation, and neat handwriting! Please send in their stories to share in our "Author's Chair!"
